This lyric book contains the words and stories behind the twenty-nine songs from Spells from the Unknown.

These spells emerged from places that exist beyond what the eye can see. An unknown, yet deeply sensed landscape where dreams, grief, memory, and mystery intertwine.

Unless otherwise noted, every song was received on Coast Salish land (present-day Seattle) between 2019 and 2021.

These are songs for communal singing. Songs for grief and joy. Songs for remembering that we are never meant to carry this life alone, that connection is a practice, and that we belong to one another.
