A Flash of Fantasy

Flash fiction is a genre of very short stories. Each tale must be a complete narrative with fewer than 1,500 words.

These five fantasy stories contain less than half the allowed word count. I’ve held each to fewer than 700 words. (One is under 300!) Created to challenge myself to write concisely, each contains a surprise twist at the end.
