Streaming Severe Weather Ready is for US stations ONLY.

When the National Weather Service issues a watch, warning, or advisory for your area, SevereWeatherReady generates broadcast-ready alerts based on your selections and drops them in your designated folder. The file is delivered to your designated folder. How and when you use it is your call.

Set it up once. After that, SevereWeatherReady monitors your selected NWS alerts.

Point it at your zip code, connect your AI and TTS providers, and SevereWeatherReady runs silently in the background.

US STATIONS ONLY. SevereWeatherReady uses the National Weather Service (NWS) alert system, which covers the United States only. Not available for international stations.

EAS Alerts -- optional, and off until you switch it on

Weather is not the only thing a station has to relay. Missing children, civil emergencies, chemical spills, evacuation orders and 911 outages all go out from government agencies through the national alerting system. SevereWeatherReady can write and voice those too, and deliver the finished file to your designated folder ready to broadcast.

• Optional. Leave it switched off and nothing changes.
• You choose which emergency alert types to monitor, by name, on their own setup step.
• Filtered to the counties you already selected. National alerts are not filtered by county.
• No account and no extra key. The feed is public and free.
• A Run Test EAS Alert button, so you can hear one before you trust it.

Long quiet stretches are normal here. An hour or a week can pass with nothing at all. That means nothing has happened, not that something is broken.

SevereWeatherReady is not EAS equipment. It does not transmit EAS signalling and it never sounds the SAME data tones. It writes and voices the alert the same way it does a weather warning.

Compatible with folder-based playout systems. Your choice of AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, or Radio Voice Forge Community Provided) and TTS voice (ElevenLabs, OpenAI TTS, Google TTS, or Radio Voice Forge Community Provided). Output is MP3 or WAV.

One-time purchase. No RadioReadyWare subscription.

Requires your own API key. SevereWeatherReady connects to your choice of AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Google Gemini, or Radio Voice Forge Community Provided) and TTS provider (ElevenLabs, OpenAI TTS, Google TTS, or Radio Voice Forge Community Provided) using keys you supply. RadioReadyWare does not supply keys and does not have access to yours -- they are stored encrypted on your machine. All usage costs are billed directly to you by the provider. Service availability is outside RadioReadyWare's control.

Free AI writing and voices, sponsored by the community. Radio Voice Forge sponsors an AI writer and a set of radio voices for independent stations, completely free. They run around the clock. Jeff Hansen at Radio Voice Forge issues the keys himself and is happy to send you one -- email him, tell him about your station, and paste the key into the setup wizard. It is experimental and it is working beautifully. You can also bring your own keys from Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs or Google, and switch whenever you like.

Windows PC required. Setup wizard walks you through every step.
