FREP Test 4 Strategic Blueprint — Your 6-week plan to 23 September

The foundation of the Test 4 study build. Tells you what to focus on, in what order, and what to expect as each topic pack releases between now and the exam.

What the Blueprint is.

A 14-page strategic document that tells you what Test 4 will most likely test, what your Tests 1, 2 and 3 have just taken off the table, and how to spend the six Wednesday coaching weeks between now and 23 September 2026. It's built on nine verified past Test 4 papers, read page by page — every scenario, every required, every mark allocation. The frequency analysis reconciles exactly to 450 marks, nine papers at fifty, so nothing in it is estimated or assumed. Five standards carry 356 of those 450 marks: 79% of everything ever examined. The Blueprint tells you which five, in what form, and with what traps — and it's the analytical foundation every topic pack in this series is built on.

The 6-week plan.

The Blueprint maps every Wednesday session to a topic, a deliverable and a phase — roughly 70% building, 20% revising and debriefing, 10% on a full timed mock. Topic packs release on the Thursday and must be complete by the following Wednesday, so the session closes the week rather than opening it. The order follows the frequency evidence, not the syllabus:

  • Week 1 — 12 Aug — IFRS 2 Share-based Payments. Set on 7 of 9 papers for 85 marks. The most consistent topic on the paper.
  • Week 2 — 19 Aug — IFRS 16 Leases, lessee and lessor. 77 marks, and rarely a clean build — three of five appearances required correcting journals.
  • Week 3 — 26 Aug — IFRS 5 Held for Sale, with IAS 36 and IAS 12. Almost never set alone. The deferred tax consequence carried 20 marks on the most recent paper.
  • Week 4 — 2 Sep — IAS 7 Statement of Cash Flows. The biggest single risk: 12 marks on one paper, 44 on another.
  • Week 5 — 9 Sep — The closers, plus a full past-paper walkthrough. IAS 24, IAS 19, the Conceptual Framework and the disclosure notes — the fastest marks on any Test 4 paper.
  • Sat 12 Sep — Full timed mock. 50 marks, 100 minutes, fresh integrated scenario.
  • Wed 16 Sep — Debrief and revision. Last session before the test.

What comes with each topic pack.

Three core artefacts in every pack: a topic guide (PDF) teaching the principle from first principles, a question paper (PDF) written in authentic Milpark Test 4 style, and an eight-tab solution workbook (Excel) with live formulas and per-line mark annotations — scenario triggers, standards and paragraphs, principles tested, suggested frameworks, then the worked solutions and marker notes.

Each question paper carries two questions rather than one. The mock stands alone on that week's topic. The challenger is the next instalment of a single continuous group scenario that grows across all five weeks into a 112-mark integrated question — because the real paper doesn't hand you topics in isolation, and neither should your practice. Where a topic warrants it, the pack ships with more: Week 5 includes a complete past Test 4 paper worked end to end, and the series closes with a full 50-mark dress rehearsal and its own diagnostic solution workbook.
