Modes for Fingerstyle Guitar by Lucas Michailidis is a method book for the intermediate fingerstyle/ classical guitarist eager to develop a deeper understanding of the major scale modes. Built around 27 original pieces and excerpts, each meticulously crafted and distilled through decades of personal study, composition, performance and teaching, the book works systematically through all seven modes, making the distinctive character of each clearly accessible.

Inspired by the Matteo Carcassi guitar method, each mode revolves around an E root, keeping the pieces in guitar friendly keys, whilst allowing the differences between modes to be clearly discerned. Presented in notation without tablature, Modes for Fingerstyle Guitar is pitched at the player serious about advancing their sight-reading alongside their musicianship.

This edition includes 27 MP3 recordings of every study.
