Pine Script v6 + AI Builder's Kit
Get AI assistants to write Pine Script v6 properly, then check the result yourself.
AI assistants write Pine Script with confidence, and often wrong: v5 syntax, numbers used as booleans, request.security with lookahead that leaks the future, strategies with zero commission. You find out in the Pine Editor one error at a time, or you don't find out and the chart looks better than reality. This kit gives your assistant the rules and gives you the tools to check what it wrote.
WHAT YOU GET
-A "Start here" illustrated beginner's guide (PDF) that walks you from the download to your first script on a chart, step by step.
- An AI skill file for ChatGPT, Claude and Grok that makes the assistant plan first, write v6 only, avoid repainting, use realistic strategy settings and finish with a verification checklist. Includes setup guides and a prompt library (new script from a spec, convert v5 to v6, review, debug a compile error, add webhook alerts, turn an indicator into a strategy).
- 42 common AI mistakes in Pine, each with the wrong code, the right code and why.
- An offline checker (pinecheck): a dependency-free Python script with 52 rules for v6 errors, repainting patterns and the AI mistakes above.
- A v6 cheat sheet in 19 sections, each linked to TradingView's official documentation.
- 26 open-source templates (MPL-2.0): 15 indicators (including a risk position sizer, ATR trailing stop, session VWAP bands, multi-timeframe trend filter and an alert JSON emitter), 8 strategies with risk-based position sizing and realistic commission and slippage, 2 libraries (risk sizing and webhook alerts) and a "repaint lab" that shows repainting and future leaks side by side.
- Alerts that plug into automation: JSON alerts in the format the Trader Automation Pack for n8n router reads.
- A mini-course: 8-module outline, video scripts and 6 lesson scripts.
- A publishing guide for TradingView's 1 November 2026 Marketplace change, with a pre-publish checklist.
- A README and test chart for every script, plus a spec, script and test checklist.
HOW IT WAS TESTED
All 37 scripts (the 26 templates plus the lesson and exercise scripts) were compiled in TradingView's Pine Editor on 19 Oct 2026 with no errors or warnings, and run without errors on a BTCUSDT 1h chart (the opening-range strategy on 5m). The strategies loaded in the Strategy Tester and placed trades; their performance wasn't assessed, and nothing here claims any. On the same day, 8 of the scripts were watched live on BTCUSDT and ETHUSDT 1-minute charts for about four hours, and none repainted: every historical signal stayed on the same bar after reload. Every script also passes 12 offline test suites: the checker, an open-source Pine parser, execution on an open-source Pine runtime with synthetic data, repaint and future-leak tests, a position-sizing match against the trading journal's 60 test vectors, and alert parsing by the n8n router's own code. Per-script results are in the included compile checklist.
KNOWN REQUIREMENTS
- The opening-range strategy needs a chart of 15 minutes or less. On higher timeframes it stops with its own message, by design.
- The anchored VWAP asks you to click a bar for its anchor when you add it.
- The correlation table reads best on 1D when you mix crypto (24/7) with stocks or indices, because those only move during their sessions.
- TradingView webhook alerts need a paid TradingView plan.
WHAT IT WON'T DO
- Sell you a strategy or claim one is profitable. There are no backtest results or win rates here, on purpose. Templates are starting points, and Strategy Tester results are simulations.
- Replace the Pine Editor.
