Owl Cowl & Mitts

The Owl Cowl & Mitts are knit using stranded colorwork. Each piece is cast on and worked in the round with two-color corrugated ribbing before beginning the owl motif (charted instructions only). The cowl finishes with another section of corrugated ribbing while the mitts use k1p1 rib and have an afterthought thumb.

Needles:

US 7 [4.5 mm] 16 in [40 cm] circular needle and needles for working a small circumference in the round (one size smaller than main needle)

US 8 [5 mm] 16 in [40 cm] circular needle and needles for working a small circumference in the round (size needed to obtain gauge)

Yarn:

Stylecraft Special Aran (214 yds/196 m, 3.5 oz/100 g, 100% premium acrylic): 1 skein each Cream 1005 and Aster 1003
