The voices in these pages echo some of the whispers of our own Zimbabwe's stories -of struggle, of superstition, of hope, of artistry found in urban townships like Dangamvura, Sakubva, Chikanga and rural homesteads alike. In our culture, words have the power heal, to unite, and to illuminate paths through darkness, much like the guiding light of fire in traditional gatherings.
