TOKYO AFTER DARK — 3 Nights. No Wasted Nights.
I'm Japanese and I go out in Tokyo every week. This is the plan I'd give a friend flying in for 3 nights.
Most of what's online is written by people who went out here once or twice. The club names are right, but the timing is usually off, and nobody tells you who's actually inside.
Example: on a normal night at WARP Shinjuku, it's about 85% guys. That doesn't mean skip it. It means you have to be the one who walks up and talks. That's the kind of thing in here.
What's in it:
- Night 1 — Shibuya. Bars from around 10PM, then ATOM around 1AM
- Night 2 — Shinjuku. Kabukicho, a casual bar like HUB, then WARP around 1AM
- Night 3 — Roppongi. The international bars, then V2 on weekends or ZOUK if there's a good event
- Club-by-club: who's actually inside, the guy-to-girl ratio, and what kind of guy each one is good for
- Which club to hit on which night, Monday to Sunday
- What time to actually show up (not when the doors open)
- Which area fits your age, budget, and style
- What type of foreign guy does best, and why copying K-pop style backfires
- Japanese women: why compliments don't mean much, and what to watch instead
- Bumble vs Tinder vs bars vs clubs
- 10 mistakes foreign guys make in Tokyo
- Extra notes: the drink thing most guys get wrong, street touts, and where to eat after the club
- A one-page "stop thinking and pick" guide for 11:45PM
It's a PDF. You get it right after you pay. $29, one time.
If you've only got 3 nights, I'd rather you spend them in the right places.
