Day's Eye Socks
Normally holes in socks mean darning; but here holes in socks mean summer (and some embroidery)! Apart from a few eyelets, these socks are mainly plain sailing. I hope you can knit these on a relaxing summer’s evening with a good view and a glass of something refreshing. These socks are knitted cuff down with a twisted rib cuff, a special cuff-down version of the Fleegle heel, and a wedge toe. Embroidery is done around eyelets after knitting. No need to have experience with embroidery; it’s all covered in the pattern!
The pattern contains technique illustrations, a ‘how to’ for working this pattern off gauge, handy tips and tricks, and there’s even a little something in there for medieval marginalia connoisseurs! There’s a colourful version, a black and white version for printing, and also a print disability and screen reader friendly version. This pattern has been tested and tech edited.
