40 Go-To Layouts for Card Makers - Digital Download, Printable Guide
With over 30 years of experience designing and teaching others how to make cards, I have culled 40 of my favorite "go-to" layouts (maybe some day I will cull together a sequel of 40 more, LOL!). Each layout is hand-drawn by me and includes my notes and suggestions for creating greeting cards that are visually balanced and have a natural flow.
Altho these formulas are based on a standard A2 card format (4.25 x 5.5"), they can be rotated or flipped and modified to suit different card sizes. They're a great starting point for building a foundation in strong card design. While simple, they can be embellished or layered as you prefer.
Also included are several blank sketch pages that you can print out for sketching your own layouts--you can never have too many ideas in the creative vault, especially when you find yourself experiencing a time crunch or creative block.
This guide is not about "techniques", but it is about enhancing and improving your card designs whether you stamp, paint or use die cuts (or a even a combination of these) to create your greeting cards.
Happy crafting!
