The Chore-Free Weekend Starter List
Tired of spending your entire weekend cleaning? I was too!
I started sprinkling chores throughout Monday–Friday instead of saving everything for the weekend. I also sprinkle in those bigger, rotating household chores throughout the month so they don't all pile up at once.
The Chore-Free Weekend Starter List is the actual cleaning schedule I use to keep my house in order without spending my entire weekend catching up.
What's included:
- Morning Opening Shift: Simple tasks to get the house ready for the day.
- Evening Closing Shift: A quick nightly reset so you're not waking up to yesterday's mess.
- Weekly Cleaning Schedule: Chores sprinkled throughout Monday–Friday, with just a few quick tasks on the weekend.
- Rotating Household Chores: Biweekly, monthly, every-two-months, quarterly, and semiannual tasks to sprinkle into your routine so nothing gets forgotten.
This is what works for my house and my schedule. Everyone's home and routine look a little different, but this gives you a starting point to create a system that works for you.
The goal isn't to have a perfectly clean house all the time. It's to stay on top of things a little at a time so your weekends are yours to enjoy.
