Map It In Your Body Worksheet
Map It in Your Body | Emotions & Body Awareness Worksheet
Help students explore how feelings show up in their bodies with this visual, hands-on worksheet. “Map It in Your Body” invites students to mark, shade, or label a body outline to show what they notice, giving them another way to communicate when words are hard to find.
Guided questions help students describe physical sensations and consider one small action that could help them feel safer or calmer.
Students will explore:
Where they notice a feeling in their body.
Sensations such as tightness, warmth, heaviness, shakiness, numbness, or restlessness.
What those body clues might be communicating.
What could help their body feel a little more comfortable or settled.
What’s included: One black-and-white worksheet featuring a full-body outline, four surrounding note boxes, four reflection prompts, and a symbol key for marking strong sensations, discomfort, and areas that need care.
Use with middle and high school students during individual counseling, small groups, emotional check-ins, or social-emotional learning activities. Students can use colors, symbols, or words to personalize their map and share at their own comfort level.
