These Elements of Art Zen Doodle Coloring Pages help students visually explore the seven elements of art: line, shape, form, space, value, texture and color. Each of the 7 highly detailed sheets focuses on one element and shows the concept in an age-appropriate way while students create calm, mindful artwork.

They are original Ms Artastic illustrations, not clip art. Students can use colored pencils, crayons, markers, watercolor, chalk pastels, oil pastels or any medium you prefer, in the classroom or at home.

WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING

★★★★ “I used these as a daily "Welcome" activity while we welcomed all of our summer art campers to class. It served both as a reteach and as interactive engagement to start our day off!” Vicky B.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

7 original Zen Doodle coloring pages, one for each element of art:

  • Line
  • Shape
  • Form
  • Space
  • Value
  • Texture
  • Color

HOW TO USE IT

Photocopy a class set and keep it ready for independent work or art centers. Use the pages as lesson extensions after teaching each element, and encourage students to color thoughtfully, filling detailed sections rather than rushing large areas. Pair them with artist studies, critiques or written reflections about how each element is used in artwork.

They work well for introducing the elements, reinforcing art vocabulary, early finishers, calm-down or mindfulness centers, sub plans, sketchbook extensions, homeschool art and art room routines. The detailed line work supports observation, patience, concentration and fine motor skills.
