Free Startup & AI Tool Directory Submission List 2026 (142 directories, 53 tested first-hand)

Launching a product and want to get it listed without spending a weekend clicking dead links and hitting surprise paywalls?

This is a spreadsheet of 142 startup, SaaS, AI-tool, dev-tool and free-tool directories. For every one it tells you the catch before you open the site:

• Is there a free option, or is it paid only?
• Do you need to create an account, or is it a plain form?
• Does the free listing only go live if you put their badge or a backlink on your site?
• How long review takes (instant, days, or a 30-90 day queue)
• A direct link to the submit page

What makes it different: we launched a small product in October 2026 and submitted it to these directories ourselves. 53 of the rows are first-hand (24 of them we actually submitted to). For those you get our real result: live immediately, still pending after 2 days, rejected because they want a root domain only, etc. All the other rows were checked by loading their live submit page on 2026-10-06, and we only filled in what the page actually said. Anything we couldn't confirm is marked "unknown".

We did not add domain-rating or traffic numbers because we didn't measure them, and we won't guess.
