New HSK 3 (2026 Syllabus) — 500-Word Printable Flashcards, Anki Deck & Study Tracker

Moving on to HSK 3 under the new syllabus? The HSK Syllabus published in November 2025 (used from July 2026) adds 500 new words at HSK 3 (#501–#1000 in the official list; 1,000 words in total with HSK 1–2). Many HSK 3 sets online still follow the old HSK 2.0 list (300 words) or the 2021 draft. This pack follows the new list, in its official order.

• Printable flashcards: 500 cards, 12 per sheet, double-sided. Front: characters. Back: pinyin, part of speech, English meaning, plus the characters in small print

• Colour (tone-coloured characters) and black-ink versions, each in A4 and US Letter

• Word list PDF with tick boxes, plus 2 self-tests (meanings in random order: you write the pinyin and characters)

• Anki deck (.apkg): 500 notes / 1,000 cards (Chinese → meaning and meaning → Chinese). It uses the same note type as my HSK 1 & 2 deck

• Simplified characters. Pinyin with tone marks exactly as printed in the official syllabus (which writes the tone changes of 不 and 一, e.g. búdàn, yídìng)

• Tone colours: 1st red · 2nd green · 3rd blue · 4th purple · neutral grey

• Numbered #501–#1000 to match the official list

• HSK 3 builds on the 500 HSK 1–2 words, which are not repeated here (they are in my HSK 1 & 2 pack).

• Some test dates may still use the older HSK 2.0 format during the transition. Check with your test centre which version you are taking.

• I made this with help from AI tools. The word list, pinyin and parts of speech were checked line by line against the official syllabus, and I checked and edited the English meanings. They are learner glosses, not an official translation.
