Valéria Lourenço was born in Rio de Janeiro and is a literature teacher in Ceará. She has published the poetry books Aya’ba (2021) and Penalva (2018), as well as short stories in Cadernos Negros 36, 37, and 42 (2013, 2014, and 2018).
