Grassroots Track Rescue Study Guide – Circle Track Asphalt Edition

Built from nearly two decades of hands-on experience in motorsports safety, this study guide brings big-track knowledge to grassroots racing.

Much of the information in this guide comes from the knowledge, experience, and techniques passed down by the many professionals who have trained, mentored, and worked alongside me over the years. I’ve taken what I’ve learned from others, combined it with my own experiences, and put it into a practical resource for grassroots tracks.

Designed for firefighters, EMS personnel, track safety teams, and racing officials, this guide covers PPE, fire suppression, rescue and extrication, medical response, incident command, and track restoration.

This isn’t intended to establish national standards or replace local procedures. It’s about sharing knowledge, improving training, and helping smaller tracks make the most of their available resources.

The goal is simple: Pass along the knowledge, improve safety, and help the next generation of track rescue professionals.
