Prayers for Different Occasions: To Pray Is To Make A Difference

Prayers are important because it is one of the best of ways to communicate with God. Of course, God knows what’s in our mind and heart before we can even utter the first word in our prayer, but still He wanted us to say or express it. He wanted us to call on Him so He can answer what we’re asking. He wanted us to be close to Him.

Prayer is a vehicle by which we can talk to our Creator. It is a way of acknowledging who is really in control of our lives. It must serve as a platform by which we can share all aspects of our lives with Him.

When we pray, we participate in such an act of worship and obedience to the will of the Lord. It is also about thanking Him for all the good things that He provides and does on our behalf.

We must persevere in prayer. We must, “with all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit.” (Ephesians 6: 18).

Through our prayers, we are bringing our concerns to God for disposition and potential blessing. We have to talk to Him like a child talking to his father about his every concern, although the father himself may have already know what those things are in the first place. We have to be sharing our struggles, joys, and triumphs with Him.

Hence, the need for our prayers to be specific arises. This book contains a collection of specific prayers for different needs and purposes.
