1986: Harlan's Bend, Pennsylvania receives Channel Zero, a dead VHS channel whispering OPEN. Residents surgically unzip themselves into living antennas for an orbiting corpse-broadcaster. Twelve-year-old Dale Mercer, born with his absorbed twin inside him, must broadcast CLOSE before town opens.
