Latvian HG 15 samples
The mesolithic inhabitants of Latvia relied on hunting, gathering, and fishing. They descended from a mixture of eastern hunter gatherers and western hunter gatherers, with around 34 percent Eastern ancestry.
Breaking their ancestry down into more ancestral components, they had around 78 percent Western hunter gatherer ancestry and 22 percent ancient north eurasian ancestry.
According to Fst analysis, their closest populations were northern europeans. The populations furthest from them were african pygmies, native australians, south african hunter gatherers, and east africans.
For this video I Gathered 15 genomes from Mesolithic latvia and ran them through my trait predictor tool for DNA analysis.
