Before the Snow

Five backpackers. One Australian winter. One disappearance that changes everything.

Sofia arrives in Australia looking for adventure. In the small town of Tumbarumba, she finds friendship, work, and an unexpected connection with Lukas, a quiet German traveller who soon becomes far more important to her than either of them intended. Their journey eventually carries the group into the Snowy Mountains, where seasonal jobs, new friendships and the first snow turn a temporary stop into a life they never planned.

Then Sofia disappears.

As freezing conditions close over the mountains, Lukas, their friends, police and volunteers search desperately for any trace of her. Somewhere beyond the search lines, injured and alone, Sofia is fighting to survive — clinging to memories, hope and the belief that the people she loves are still looking for her.

Before the Snow is a story of friendship, love, survival and the devastating uncertainty of waiting for someone who may never come home.
