I made this flower for someone I never want to forget. The stem and body of the flower are knit as one piece, in the round, from the bottom of the stem upwards. A pipe cleaner is then thread through the stem to give it a bit more stability. Finally, the petals are added by picking up stitches along the edge of the body of the flower.
This is a quick and easy knit (although it would be even quicker if you have a i-cord maker!), and great for using up scraps of yarn, as you need 5g or less of each colour. I've used DK yarn, as it is what I had lying around, but gauge and yarn weight isn't particularly important - you could substitute in sock or aran if you like.

Forget-me-not is available as a free download, although if you would like to make a donation, you can name your own price. Any proceeds will be donated to support mental health charities.
