Lesson 9 introduces students to the principle of comparing Scripture with Scripture. Students learn how related passages, parallel accounts, and clearer texts can provide important help when studying difficult or unfamiliar portions of the Bible.

In this lesson, students will:

• Recognize that Scripture should be interpreted consistently with Scripture
• Compare related passages for additional understanding
• Use clearer passages to help illuminate more difficult ones
• Practice using cross-references without ignoring the original context
