Boots is a poem by Kipling about the monotony of life for a soldier during the Second Boer War. Here it has been set to music. This is a percussion arrangement recommended for the classroom. Available for purchase is a teaching unit based on the arrangement, including beat work, rhythm reading, pitch awareness, bugle call composition, lyric writing, and of course parts for students to play for varying abilities.
