When you alternate different blocks, a secondary design can appear. The same fabric in the star blocks and the Shoo Fly blocks combine to make a frame of sorts. The colors in Island Batik’s Paisley Parade along with the size, make Crisscross perfect for a Quilt of Valor quilt!

I use Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design^® Tucker Trimmer^® , but instructions are included to make the HSTs and QSTs without the ruler.

Skill level:  confident beginner, half square triangles, quarter square triangles
