Welcome to Vellum Hollow
Vellum Hollow is a place for curiosity—for trying something you’ve never tried before, following an idea just to see where it leads, and discovering what happens when you give yourself permission to play.
You don’t need to be an artist, a photographer, a composer—or any other kind of -ER or -IST. You just have to be curious.
So come on in. Let’s see what we find.
How This Works
Every Vellum Hollow Session begins with a letter.
Someone writes with a question—something they’d like to try, understand, make, notice, or explore.
I take that question and see where it leads. I’ll explore the idea, share examples, and show you some of the possibilities I discover along the way.
But what I find isn’t the answer. It’s a place to begin.
Take what interests you, or try something yourself. Change it. Follow it somewhere completely different.
The question opens the door. Where you go from there is up to you.
