Beautiful Spirits: The Light Before Life is the first book in an Indigenous Book Series that gently introduces spirituality through an unforgettable journey that begins in the world of Luminae - the Place of Living Light. RY-Li 's light is so bright, he will train to become a Spirit Guide and his first journey is to Earth.

The Great Circle is in the centre of all Creation, it's where the Great Spirit shines most bright. Awaneya (Ah-wah-nay-ah) is "The One Who Holds All Love". The closer a spirit lives to the Great Circle and to Awaneya, the brighter their light becomes.

But moving closer is not easy.

Spirits can study in Luminae or they can enter a magical doorway. Every doorway is special. Every doorway leads to the birth of a new life on one of a million planets.

In the Grand Library, every spirit is guided by Spirit Guides. They are ancient beings of light who have already walked many lifetimes and learned countless lessons.

Earth is the furthest away from Luminae and the closest to the darkness.

It’s the hardest school of all and spirits always go together.
