This Rudolph Oil Pastel Art Project is a Christmas or holiday art activity for your classroom. Students draw Rudolph step by step and finish the piece in oil pastel, adding their own personal touches to the reindeer and its surroundings.

It comes with a visual and text step-by-step, with each step on its own page and description, a rubric, and a step-by-step how to draw Rudolph worksheet so students can complete the piece successfully. All of the art lessons are original ideas by Ms Artastic.

WHAT TEACHERS ARE SAYING

★★★★ “I'm not an art teacher but I desperately wanted to do some kind of art with my students for the holidays! This was so easy to follow and my kids had such fun personalizing their reindeer and the surroundings around it! My December/January bulletin board was festive and received a lot of great compliments!!!” Morgan B.

HOW TO USE IT

Look over the lesson plan to see the steps and gather the materials in advance. Read through the visual and text step-by-steps, and you may want to make a sample yourself so you can help students later. Photocopy the student handouts, such as the drawing worksheet and rubric.

Print the poster sample in color and show it before the lesson as your hook. Then show the PDF on a projector or under a document camera, or use it as your own guide while you demonstrate. Every step has both a picture and a text description, so it is easy to follow.
