Finished measurements: Beanie circumference (unstretched): 57cm (20 ½ in); length from brim to crown: 23cm (9 in)

Yarn: DK weight

Materials used: 1 skein of Iolair Yarn Eorsa (60% Superwash Merino, 20% Yak, 20% Silk, 212m (231yards)/ 100g) or use any DK yarn as substitute; shown in colour “Dioptase”

Gauge: 24 stitches and 25 rows = 10cm (4in) in pattern stitch, unblocked

Needles: Gauge-size circular needle; gauge-size needle of your preferred type to knit the crown with
For reference: A 4mm/ US 6 size circular needle (40cm (16in) length) was used for main beanie and 4mm/ US 6 size double pointed needles were used to knit the crown.

Construction notes: The beanie is knitted in the round with a combination of knit and purl stitches. Both written and chartered instructions are provided.
