Locks and Keys takes the delicate structure of the Lamprocapnos spectabilis and transforms it into an elegant shawlette. A base structure of brioche blossoms into Stockinette Lace combined with Brioche Lace to mimic leaves and flowers. Like all delicate structures, this one is full of knitting adventures and tricks to

provide for stability while creating a seamless design. Customize Locks and Keys into a smaller kerchief or larger full-sized shawl.

The tech edited and test knit intermediate level design is fully written with the lace written and charted. Several how-to videos are available as well.

• Customize It: designed as a single skein brioche project, Locks and Keys can easily transform into a full-sized shawl.

• Mark It: consider adding stitch markers to the edging section to easily track between the brioche segments and increases. After increases are completed, markers may be used to track between the brioche segments and the Stockinette lace segments.
