It was a warm Saturday morning when Chloe, a curvy 19-year-old, was lounging on the couch in her small apartment, bored out of her mind. Her boyfriend Mark, also a big beautiful person like her, was over for another lazy weekend.

"Ugh, there's nothing to do," Chloe groaned, scrolling through her phone. "I'm so boooored."

Mark laughed from where he was sprawled on the floor. "What do you want to do, babe? We can watch a movie or something..."

Chloe perked up at that. "Ooh, I know! Let's see what this new shrink app I downloaded does!" She held up her phone with an excited grin.

Mark lifted an eyebrow. "Uh, are you sure that's a good idea? It looks kind of sketch."

But Chloe was already opening the app and fiddling with the settings. "Oh come on, live a little! And it'll be funny to see you tiny for a bit."

Mark shrugged. "If you say so I guess." He sat up, watching Chloe warily.

Giggling, Chloe pointed her phone at Mark and pressed the button. There was a blinding flash of light. When it faded, Mark was gone - replaced by a tiny figure no bigger than an insect, running around in circles on the carpet and waving his miniscule arms.

"Holy shit, it worked!" Chloe cackled with glee. She leaned down, grinning at the itsy-bitsy boyfriend. "Hi tiny Mark! Aren't you cute!" She reached out a finger to poke him.

Just then, they heard the front door unlock. "Chloe? I'm home!" called out her older sister Jenna. "I forgot my- oh my god, what the hell?!"

Chloe jumped guiltily. "Jenna! I wasn't expecting you!"

Jenna stood frozen in the doorway, her eyes bugging out at the sight of her little sister looming over the carpet like a giant. "What are you doing?! Why are you crouched down there? What's going on?"

"Nothing, nothing!" Chloe said quickly, trying to cover. "I was just, uh, looking for a contact lens I lost. Y-You remember how clumsy I am! Haha..."

Jenna narrowed her eyes suspiciously but seemed to buy it. "Okay...well, remind me to get you a hand lens next time. Anyway, I'm just here to grab my favorite sweater, I left it here last time. Be right back."

"K, sounds good!" Chloe called after her. As soon as Jenna was out of sight, she frantically poked at the miniscule Mark. "Okay, stay very still, I'm going to grab you!"

But in her haste, Chloe lost track of where she had placed her phone. As Jenna's footsteps approached again, Chloe was on her hands and knees, patting the carpet wildly.

"Found it, got it!" Jenna announced, striding back into the living room. She halted abruptly, one foot raised - directly over the spot where Mark was desperately trying to scramble out of the way...

"Uh oh," Jenna said, eyes widening. "Chloe honey, I'm so sorry, I didn't see the little-"

CRUNCH.

Jenna stood frozen, her wooden high-heeled clog raised. A sickeningly wet smear marked the carpet below it. Chloe's eyes went huge with horror.

"Jenna what did you do?!" she screamed, shoving her sister away and dropping to her knees. Tears sprang to her eyes as she took in the scene - the nearly unrecognizable red paste that had been her boyfriend, smeared obscenely across the carpet fibers.

"I-I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! I didn't see him, I swear!" Jenna was saying frantically, trying to pull Chloe up. "Oh my god, is that- was that a person? Chloe what did you DO?!"

Chloe rounded on her sister, eyes blazing. "SHRINK APP," she bit out. "I shrunk him with a shrink app! He was tiny and I lost him and you KILLED him!"

Jenna paled, staggering back. "Oh fuck oh fuck," she whispered, one hand flying to her mouth. "This is bad, this is so bad. The police..."

"No police!" Chloe snapped, already grabbing paper towels and a trash bag. "We'll get in so much trouble! Quick, help me clean this up before the neighbors notice!"

Still in shock, Jenna numbly assisted her sister in hurriedly mopping up the remains of poor Mark and dumping them in the bathroom. They managed to get the stain out just as they heard the sound of the front door opening again.

"Girls? You home?" called their mom.

"Y-Yeah mom, we're here!" Chloe called, voice shaking only slightly. "J-Just chillin'."

A pause. "Alright sweetie. I'll be in the kitchen."

Chloe and Jenna stood frozen in the bathroom doorway, staring at each other with wide, horrified eyes - Jenna's face still sporting a very confused expression about the floor's suspicious wetness and Chloe's very flushed cheeks and heaving bosom straining against her too-tight tank top.

"Okay," Chloe finally whispered, "n-never mention this. Ever."

Jenna nodded mutely, then turned and fled the apartment, wooden clog clacking against the floor.

Chloe slowly sank to the floor, hugging her knees to her chest as she began to cry, imagining Mark's final terrified moments, and the sickening feeling of her sister's heel grinding his tiny body into the carpet...and she knew she would never be able to look at the spot on the floor the same way again.
