A memoir about travel, uncertainty, and learning to go anyway.

I never set out to write a book about my travel stories. I just kept travelling.

There were the trips that went according to plan, and the ones that didn't. There were missed flights, visa problems, lost phones, wrong turns, unexpected kindness, frightening moments, spectacular places and people I never expected to meet.

There was Nepal, where a stranger's story sent me towards the Himalayas. India, where getting into the wrong taxi became a lesson in trusting people. China, where I discovered that having all the right apps doesn't necessarily mean you know how to buy a Coke. Antarctica, where the wonder of being there came with an uncomfortable awareness of what it had taken to get there.

And then there were the moments that had nothing to do with famous landmarks at all. A packet of jalebi on a bus. A conversation with a stranger. A mountain road. Warm water at night in Zanzibar. Small moments that somehow stayed with me longer than places I had travelled halfway around the world to see.

Go Anyway is about travel, but it is also about what happens when you stop waiting until you feel completely ready.

Because sometimes you have the plan.

Sometimes you have no idea what you're doing.

And sometimes the best thing you can do is go anyway.

A travel memoir about getting lost, getting it wrong, trusting people, taking chances, and discovering that you don't need to know exactly what's around the corner to keep going.
