The Mound

A father and son are playing soccer/football in their back yard on a March day in central North Carolina. An errant kick sends the ball into the creek. Dad goes to retrieve it, and his son follows. Dad then notices a mound that looks strangely familiar. The last push of the shovel changes both of their lives.
