Northern Lights Reservation

Andrea and I invite you to join us in the New Year for our next Block of the Month adventure, the Northern Lights sampler: a quilt that sails to the edge of the world, where stormy seas meet starry skies...

Northern Lights is our fifth Block of the Month programme and will run for nine months, from January until September 2024. Participants will receive an exclusive early access pattern book and beautifully packaged kits containing everything they need to create nine original Northern Lights sampler blocks and our dazzling Maelstrom setting, with my tried and trusted techniques, including simple machine-piecing, creating angles with placement templates and adding some subtle sparkle with trims and embroidery. We include any little extras you will need and, as always, a few lovely surprises.

This year we're thrilled to include two brand new features to enhance your BOM experience: filmed tutorials - which will be shared on the Willow Cottage Quilt Co. website - and the option of a full kit, rather than monthly parcels, which will be delivered at the beginning of the programme.

The quilt will finish at 65" square and and the reason we're starting a little later this year is because we wanted to wait for Crystal Manning's radiant Cadence collection for Moda Fabrics to arrive. The prints combine the deep blues of the Norwegian Sea, the radiant teals of the aurora borealis, the rich reds of Lofoten fishing cabins, the creamy whites of winter fur and a dash of yellow to add sparkle. They glow against an inky blue Linen Texture background, which is a delight to sew with.

Please note that there are limited places available for the Block of the Month. The £19.75 reservation fee is non-refundable and commits you to participating in the nine month programme.

For the Month by Month option, the remaining nine payments will be made by PayPal Subscription and will cost £19.75 plus postage (postage will be £3.25 within the UK and £6.75 to Europe/Australia/New Zealand). 

The Northern Lights Quilt Kit, which will be invoiced through PayPal in January, will cost 177.75 (postage will be £4.45 within the UK and £22.50 to Europe/Australia/New Zealand)

Andrea and I always look forward to sewing with our adventurous and friendly block of the month friends - and many of you have been sewing with us since year one, you truly are friends - so we're excited to share this exciting new adventure with you.
