The Aggression Reset: A guide to feelings
Aggression in children often feels unexpected and intense. Parents are adviced to send children to time out, to reflect on what happened, reward good behaviour... They follow al the advice and yet the angression only seems to increase.
But what if we shifted our perspective? What if aggression isn’t “bad behaviour” but a sign of something deeper?
From an Aware Parenting perspective, aggression is not about children being “naughty” or “out of control.” Rather, it’s about accumulated, unexpressed feelings finding a way out. This guide is here to help you understand the underlying emotions behind aggressive behaviour and, most importantly, to help you respond with compassion—for your child and for yourself.
