As 2022 draws to a close, the LEGO Group’s 90th anniversary is concluding with a bang. There's so much going on that it can be tricky to stay on top of it all – but Blocks has you covered.

A milestone year is perfect for reflection and there is plenty of that in The LEGO Story, the book that comprehensively covers the history of both the company and its founding family. The exclusive excerpts in this month’s magazine offer an insight into how Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen introduced the ‘System within the System’ and looked to the future.

The anniversary has not just been about looking back though, and the latest movie theme ties into Avatar: The Way of Water, highlighting how the LEGO brick continues to stay relevant by focusing on what’s fresh. We have reviews of the theme’s first models and an interview with the LEGO designers behind them.

We’re also speaking to two design professionals who have become television stars – LEGO Head of Design Matthew Ashton and Senior Design Manager Amy Corbett are teaming up with comedian Nish Kumar to bring LEGO Masters back to British screens with a Christmas special. It promises to be a great way to get in the festive mood!

Thanks for joining Blocks magazine throughout this special anniversary year for the LEGO Group. If you're ready for more after reading this issue, be sure to check out our special one-off 100 Incredible LEGO Builds edition.
