The Soirée Has Started

The Soirée Has Started

Track 6 from The Unstoppable Ruby LaRue (Album)

The Soirée Has Started is the sixth track from The Unstoppable Ruby LaRue — Episode 003 of The Rock and Roll Rewind Project.

“The soirée has started, so let’s everyone sing.”

It is 1929. A decade of enormous change is reaching its conclusion.

Music, fashion and technology have transformed the world. Women are challenging old expectations, new sounds are filling the clubs, and the confidence and energy of the Roaring Twenties seem unstoppable.

The Soirée Has Started celebrates that extraordinary decade by counting its way from 1920 through to 1929 — tracing a world moving away from the old order and embracing something exciting, rebellious and new.

The Wurlitzer plays.

The flappers dance.

The music swings.

And standing beneath the lights is the one, the only, the unstoppable Ruby LaRue.
