Autumn Writing Practice Directed Drawing Fall Write and Draw Sentence Writing
This Autumn Write and Draw resource pairs a step-by-step directed drawing with sentence writing practice for K to 2 students. On each page, students draw an autumn picture, trace and write the word, trace and write a simple sentence, and then write their own sentence using the word.
Drawing first gives young writers something real to look at, talk about and write about. The drawings include leaf, pumpkin, acorn, apple, corn, scarecrow, squirrel, owl, spider, mushroom, pinecone, hay bale, tree, crow, mug, maple leaf, blackberry, raccoon, fox, hedgehog, moth, bat, sunflower, sweater and umbrella.

HOW TO USE IT
Use the pages for daily writing practice, morning work, writing centers, art centers, early finishers, sub plans or homeschool writing practice. Print single pages as you need them, or turn the set into an autumn write and draw booklet that students work through over time.
Every page follows the same format, so students get repeated practice and know what to expect. It suits visual learners, reluctant writers and students still developing vocabulary, letter formation and sentence structure, because the drawing gives them a starting point before the writing.
