Bingo Game- Cerebral Palsy and Secondary Conditions
Empower your Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with an engaging, hands-on training tool designed specifically to build knowledge, awareness, and confidence in supporting individuals with cerebral palsy and related secondary conditions.
The Cerebral Palsy & Secondary Conditions Bingo Training Game transforms traditional staff education into an interactive learning experience. Designed for team meetings, onboarding sessions, and ongoing professional development, this facilitator-ready resource helps DSP staff recognize symptoms, understand support strategies, and respond appropriately in real-world scenarios.
π§ What It Teaches
Participants learn to identify and respond to:
- Types of cerebral palsy (spastic, athetoid/dyskinetic, ataxic, mixed)
- Common secondary conditions (seizure disorders, contractures, scoliosis, dysphagia, GERD, respiratory concerns)
- Communication and mobility considerations
- Safe positioning and transfer reminders
π² How It Works
Instead of numbers, each bingo square features a symptom, condition, support strategy, or scenario. Trainers read definitions, examples, or real-life case prompts, and participants mark the matching square. When a player calls βBingo,β they must explain the concept or describe an appropriate DSP response β reinforcing learning through discussion and peer engagement.
