When the pictures are right, nobody notices you

When a show's pictures are good, nobody notices the video engineer. Every camera matches the others, faces hold their colour as the lighting changes, cuts are clean, nothing rolls or tears, and when a fault appears it is gone before the director has finished asking about it. That invisibility is the job done well.
