# THE CUBS: LIONS OF THE EMPIRE STATE

Five lion cubs arrive in New York City under the worst possible circumstances.

**Bela. Kong. Phantom. Darkside. Siren.**

To humans, they appear young, vulnerable, and lost. But the animals of New York recognize something else—an ancient apex bloodline carrying a power the modern world has forgotten.

Dogs flee. Birds fall silent. And thousands of street cats begin watching.

As the mysterious pride establishes itself in the South Bronx, an extraordinary feline intelligence network forms across rooftops, alleys, parks, fire escapes, and underground tunnels. Soon, criminals, poachers, law enforcement, and government agencies are all asking the same question:

**What exactly has come to New York?**

When attempts to capture the lions escalate into open confrontation, the people of the Bronx begin to realize something their government has not—the lions aren't trying to destroy their city.

They're becoming part of it.

But beneath the streets, another generation is being born.

A generation that has never known the African plains.

A generation born of concrete, steel, subway tunnels, and the relentless pulse of New York City.

The battle for the bloodline has begun.

**THE CUBS: LIONS OF THE EMPIRE STATE** is the first book in an urban fantasy saga of supernatural lions, ancient bloodlines, loyalty, sacrifice, survival, and the transformation of predators into guardians.

**They came to New York as cubs.

The Bronx gave them a kingdom.

The city will give them a purpose.**
