Boutique Clothing Store Profit Tracker Excel for your products — product lines and sales, cost of goods, and a monthly P and L dashboard. Know what every unit actually earns — and whether the month actually made money.

Built for boutique clothing stores and small fashion retailers who need to know, products by products and units by units, what cost of goods really costs — without accounting software. If the best-selling tee in the shop earns a dollar a unit, this workbook shows it before the next buy goes out.

WHAT'S INCLUDED (6 sheets):

- Products & Sales — product, category, units sold, price per unit, cost per unit, margin per unit, add-on revenue, and total revenue, for 12 product lines.

- Sales Log — date, product, sale or task, units, price per unit, amount, cost of goods, and billable flag, for 16 rows in October 2026 (12 product lines, 3 styling and gift services, 1 damaged return written off).

- Expenses — item, category, unit, quantity per month, cost per unit, monthly cost, and notes, for 12 expense items.

- Monthly P and L — revenue, cost of goods, rent, utilities, staff, marketing, insurance, supplies and other expenses by month, Jan-Dec, with net profit and margin. Revenue and cost of goods are formulas from the Sales Log.

- Dashboard — total revenue, product lines, units, billable vs non-billable units, capacity used, average revenue per unit, cost of goods, gross profit and margin, expenses, net profit and margin, best and weakest products, revenue by product, costs by category, and units by product.

- Cover and How to Use — start here. Yellow cells are the only ones you edit.

EXAMPLE DATA (October 2026 — replace with your own numbers):

- 12 products; 1050 units; base revenue 52,005; add-on revenue 330; total revenue 52,335.

- 1059 units logged (1053 billable, 6 non-billable); capacity used 88.2 percent of a 1200-unit month; average revenue per billable unit 49.70.

- Direct cost 21,703; gross profit 30,632; gross margin 58.5 percent.

- rent 2,800, utilities 210, staff 1,900, marketing 460, insurance 165, supplies 600, other 199; total expenses 28,037; net profit 24,298; net margin 46.4 percent.

- Best product by revenue: Denim Jeans, 6,490. Best margin: Leather Jackets, 87 per unit. Lowest margin: Clearance Tees, 1 per unit.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. Download the Excel file instantly after purchase.

2. On sheet 1, enter each product's category, quantity, price per unit, cost per unit, and add-on revenue. Margin per unit and total revenue fill in by formula.

3. On sheet 2, add a row per sale: date, product (spelled exactly as on sheet 1), task, quantity, price per unit, and whether it was billable. Amount and cost fill in by formula. Main rows pull the price and cost from sheet 1.

4. On sheet 3, enter each month's item, quantity, and cost per unit.

5. On sheet 4, enter the seven expense columns each month, then check gross profit, capacity and net profit on the Dashboard.

HOW THE NUMBERS WORK:

Margin per unit is price per unit minus cost per unit. Total revenue is quantity times price plus add-on revenue. Gross profit is revenue minus direct cost. Average revenue per billable unit is total revenue divided by billable units. Capacity used is units logged divided by a 1200-unit month. Net profit is revenue minus direct cost and rent, utilities, staff, marketing, insurance, supplies, other — before the owner's own pay, which comes out of profit as drawings.

WHO IT'S FOR:

Boutique clothing stores, small fashion retailers, and online clothing sellers who want product-line sales, cost of goods per unit, margin per unit, and a monthly P and L in one workbook — without accounting software.

PLEASE NOTE:

- This is a digital download. No physical item will be shipped.

- Works in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (upload to Google Drive to open in Sheets).

- Example data for October 2026 is included (12 products, 1050 units, 1059 units logged in total, 12 expense items). Replace it with your own numbers.

- The example is simplified: net profit is before the owner's own pay — the owner takes drawings from profit, so add an owner-pay line on the P and L if you draw a salary. Capacity is measured against a 1200-unit month; change it on the Dashboard if your month is different.

- This is a bookkeeping and planning tool only, not tax, legal, or CPA advice.

- Due to the nature of digital downloads, refunds are not available. Message me before buying if you have a question.
