• We’ll explore the physiology of birth, not just from a clinical lens, but through the sacred cosmovisions of Mesoamerica. Where birth is seen as both a physical and spiritual rite of passage.
• We'll explore practices for caring for the birthing body and spirit before, during, and after birth ,through the lens of traditional Mexican medicine. You will learn rituals and remedies used to support this sacred time, including practices to honor the postpartum period and the baby's arrival on Earth, such as ancestral ways of tending to the placenta, umbilical cord, and other elements of birth.
