Stop Living on Autopilot | 30-Day Intentional Living Workbook
Do you ever feel like you’re moving through your days without really choosing how you spend them?
You pick up your phone without thinking.
Say yes before checking your schedule.
Put off the thing you actually wanted to do.
React to a comment before you’ve had time to process it.
Buy something because the day was hard.
Lose an evening to scrolling and wonder where the time went.
None of these moments seem very important on their own. But repeated over days, weeks, and months, small automatic choices can quietly shape a life that feels very different from the one you intended to create.
Stop Living on Autopilot is a practical 30-day workbook designed to help you slow those moments down, recognize the patterns happening in the background, and become more intentional about the choices that are actually yours to make.
This is not a productivity planner or a program about becoming more disciplined.
Instead, you’ll learn how to notice the small space between what happens and what you do next—and how to use that space to make decisions that better reflect what matters to you.
What You’ll Work On
Throughout the workbook, you’ll explore the everyday areas where autopilot tends to show up most:
- Time
- Attention and screen use
- Money and spending
- Health habits
- Work and personal goals
- Relationships
- Emotional reactions
- Boundaries and overcommitting
- Rest and enjoyment
- Personal growth
The goal is not to become hyper-aware of every decision you make.
Automatic habits are a normal and necessary part of life.
The goal is to recognize when something important has quietly become automatic—and decide whether you still want it running that way.
Part 1: Where Are You Now?
Before changing anything, you’ll take an honest look at how your life is currently being lived.
You’ll explore:
- Where autopilot has taken over
- Which areas of life feel mostly automatic
- What your ordinary days actually look like
- Where most of your energy is going
- What you keep saying you’ll get to
- What you want less of
- What you want more of
- The difference between what you say matters and where your time, money, and attention actually go
You’ll also identify the places where the gap between your priorities and your everyday choices feels widest.
Not as a judgment.
As information.
Part 2: Notice Your Patterns
You cannot interrupt a pattern you haven’t learned to see.
This section helps you make automatic behavior more visible.
You’ll identify:
- Your most reliable automatic patterns
- The situations that tend to trigger them
- What happens immediately before the behavior
- Physical and emotional signals that appear before you act
- What you may actually be needing underneath the behavior
- The short-term payoff that keeps the pattern repeating
- The longer-term cost
- Your personal trigger → response → payoff → consequence loop
You’ll also complete an Autopilot Map so you can see an entire repeating pattern from beginning to end.
Instead of thinking, “Why do I keep doing this?” you begin learning exactly how the pattern happens.
Part 3: Pause, Reflect & Choose
This is the core skill of the workbook.
A pause does not automatically mean saying no.
It simply creates enough space for an actual decision to become possible.
You’ll practice four steps:
NOTICE
What am I doing right now?
PAUSE
I do not have to act this second.
REFLECT
What is this giving me right now—and what might it cost me later?
CHOOSE
What do I actually want to do?
You’ll learn how different choices may need different kinds of pauses, including:
- A 10-second pause
- Three breaths
- Leaving the room
- Waiting before sending a message
- Sleeping on a larger decision
- Checking your calendar before agreeing to something
You’ll also develop your own personal pause questions, such as:
- Am I choosing or reacting?
- What am I actually needing right now?
- What will this give me in the next five minutes?
- How will I feel about this later?
- Does this move me toward what matters?
- What does future me need from me?
- How is this choice contributing to the life I want to create?
Part 4: Make Better Choices in Real Life
Once you understand the skill, you’ll apply it to the situations that actually happen in everyday life.
Your Time
See where your hours are really going and identify the small “leaks” that quietly consume your day.
Your Attention
Recognize the exact moment when checking one thing turns into losing forty-five minutes to your phone.
Your Health
Notice automatic decisions around food, movement, sleep, and how you want to feel in your body.
Your Money
Explore emotional spending, browsing, impulse purchases, and the difference between an automatic purchase and one you genuinely chose.
Your Work & Goals
Learn to distinguish between being busy and actually moving something meaningful forward.
Your Relationships
Slow down the space between what someone says, what you assume they meant, and how you respond.
Your Reactions
Practice checking assumptions before answering in the heat of the moment.
Your Boundaries
Recognize the “automatic yes” and practice buying yourself time with a simple response:
“Let me check and get back to you.”
Your Rest & Enjoyment
Learn the difference between intentional rest and simply disappearing into an evening you never consciously chose.
You’ll also explore how one intentional choice can create a ripple effect across several areas of your life.
Part 5: Practice Living More Intentionally
The final section turns everything you’ve learned into a simple 30-day practice.
This is not 30 days of completing a new worksheet every day.
The workbook is designed to help you practice the skill inside your real life.
Week 1 — Notice
Change nothing yet. Simply catch your patterns.
Week 2 — Pause
Begin interrupting the automatic move, even for a few seconds.
Week 3 — Reflect
Look at the trade before you act.
What does this give me now?
What might it cost me later?
Week 4 — Choose
Make the decision consciously—including the choices that are enjoyable.
Because intentional living is not about always making the “responsible” choice.
Sometimes the intentional choice is:
Rest.
Dessert.
An afternoon off.
Buying something you genuinely want.
Watching the movie.
Saying yes.
The difference is that you chose it.

A Different Approach to Change
This workbook does not ask you to completely redesign your life in thirty days.
You do not need perfect routines.
You do not need more willpower.
You do not need to make the “right” choice every time.
Progress may simply look like noticing something ten minutes sooner than you used to.
Then noticing while it is happening.
And eventually noticing just before.
That small shift is where more intentional choices become possible.
