GAMSAT SIII - Mock Examination 1 + Worked Solutions (FREE)

I wrote this exam about four years ago when I was still relatively new to tutoring the GAMSAT. At the time, it was my best attempt at capturing the section 3 feel and aesthetic. Since then, I’ve tutored 150+ students, started working as a doctor, and seen the GAMSAT evolve significantly.

Why am I releasing this for free?

As you would all have noticed, there is a massive drought of decent section 3 resources. Most of the official ACER materials are over a decade old, and rather than let this ‘legacy’ paper sit on my hard drive, I want to share it for free so that it can keep helping people study.

A few caveats:

Because this was written in 2022 before I knew everything I do today, there are a few things in here that I’ve since moved away from in my newer materials:

-      This exam relies a bit more on science knowledge than the current sittings, which have shifted heavily toward reasoning, pattern recognition, cross referencing, inference etc.

-      You’ll find a couple of instances where one answer relies on you getting the previous one right. GAMSAT will not do this, so I’ve fixed that in my new exam.

-      While I’ve modernised the document, the question style may still feel a bit brief or colloquial at times.
