Aliya and the Thunder-Bird

Aliya and the Thunder-Bird

This tale so deeply stirred the spirit of the young lady—herself born of a patrician house—that its echo haunted her for years. Seeking refuge from her melancholy, Matiya implored her father to summon the most exquisite of minstrels to her chambers. The great man consented, wishing to soothe the sorrow of his only child.

And so, the minstrel began to recount the extraordinary tale of Aliya and the Thunder-Bird.

As a writer of short stories and novels, the author draws inspiration from forgotten Mesopotamian myths, which he weaves into a fantastical universe. Patrice Martinez invites you to explore unexpected worlds, where ancient legends are reborn, imbued with wonder and magic.
