WHAT STUDENTS LEARN
Students explore how artists use line to draw and outline objects, create shapes, build patterns, add texture, show movement, communicate mood, guide the viewer’s eye and make artwork more expressive.
They can use the leopard template or design their own with the Build-a-Leopard page, and choose their own line patterns for the spots, leaves and background, so each finished artwork looks different. The PowerPoint introduces line as an element of art and then guides students through the project step by step.
