High Time Bandana

This pattern is the companion to the High Time Top. Purchase the High Time Top to get this pattern free!

Knit from the bottom up, this is a simple bandana with added fringe for flair! The pattern features a 1x1 cable twist to apply fringe, horizontal knitting, and increases on both sides. I provide video support to demonstrate these techniques. The bandana could be knit in entirely one color or a contrasting color may be used for the fringe.

Sizing: The bandana has one size: 31” (78.5 cm) width x 12” (30.5 cm) height. You can add more rows for a taller/wider bandana or do less for a smaller kerchief.

Suggested Yarn: My sample was knit in Yarn Matter Extra Pure DK. Kits for the High Time designs are available here and a discount is available with purchase of the High Time Top pattern.

Estimated Yardage with 4-6” (10-15 cm) Fringe: 140 yards or 128 meters 

Note: If you make your bandana larger, you will need more yardage.

Other Materials Needed: US 7 (4.5mm) Circular or Flat Needles in 24”, crochet hook for applying fringe, and tapestry needle for weaving ends.
