GOT Math? P.I.R.A.T.E. The Probability Game

‘PIRATE’ is based on the PBS classroom classic ‘SKUNK’ and the game ‘PIG’. PIRATE is played with gold doubloons and silver pieces of eight, in addition to points. Play ‘PIRATE The Game’ as a stand-alone game or as a feeder game for the ‘Pirate’s Chance’ game. Start with the PIRATE game, learning the basics of probability and later extend and deepen your learning of probability by playing the Pirate’s Chance game. Attack ships on the ‘High Seas’. Raid island ports. Trade with other pirates and add missions and adventures.

Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of probability by developing more effective game strategies. Students enjoy the risk and reward while they learn math concepts such as probability and chance.
